My First Post
By Leo Forchini, M0OCZ
My first ever post on my brand new website! What should I do with it now?
Hello and welcome! I’m happy to finally have a website I can call my own, not that I post, tweet, or toot very often. I expect that I’ll make some write-ups about doing POTA, about using my radio equipment, or whatever else strikes my fancy. For Christmas I received some Pixie QRP CW kits, so I’ll have to remember to take some photos and write a little something about the assembly process. I might also hold off on POTA until we’re solidly in the new year so I don’t freeze my fingers off.
I tried to make this website as JS-free as possible, though some of the fancy tables I might show off in another post might not work correctly. Also my email should be obfuscated in most cases so a simple scrape shouldn’t, hopefully, just be able to read my email. I’m sure I’ve missed some email somewhere, but I should avoid the worst of the spam! I sound like a mock CTF website. If anyone ever reads this, send me an email!
A bit about me, I got my UK Foundation M7FEQ callsign in December 2023. After using that for a while, I moved onto my Intermediate call M9WCZ in October 2025, and then onto my Full licence with M0OCZ that November. I’m in the process of learning Morse code, and while my send is normally alright, my copy is still rough. I imagine that’ll be a New Year’s Resolution of mine!
I think I might make a post on my POTA equipment soon, so look forward to that! By the way, in the image I’m at GB-4325 Newlands Corner.
